Just In: Kwara TESCOM Announces CBT Cutoff Mark and Interview Date
The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has invited 5,928 applicants for interviews. These applicants are trying to get jobs as senior school teachers. The interviews will start on February 25 and end on March 1, 2025.
TESCOM Chairman, Mallam Bello Taoheed, said the required scores for different groups of applicants are set. People from Kwara who applied for non-STEM subjects need to score at least 60% to qualify. But for those from Baruten, Isin, Oke Ero, and Patigi, the required score is 50%.
For people applying to teach STEM subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Further Mathematics, Computer, and Geography, the required score is 50% for Kwara State indigenes. This is because the state needs more teachers in these subjects.
TESCOM also said all 93 people from Kaiama who applied will be interviewed. In addition, all 37 People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) who took the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will also be interviewed.
However, non-indigenes applying for any subject must score at least 70% to be considered.
TESCOM has asked all applicants to check their status on the recruitment portal. The interviews will take place at two locations: Kwara State University International Conference Centre (KWASU ICC) and Kwara State Banquet Hall. The interviews will begin at 8:00 a.m. each day.
