The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has issued an offer of provisional appointment to successful applicants in its 2024/2025 teachers’ recruitment exercise. Candidates who received text messages are expected to attend a documentation exercise scheduled to begin on Monday, 6th January 2025, at the SUBEB Office, Ilorin.

Applicants are advised to bring all required documents as part of the formal process to finalise their appointments. The board has highlighted specific conditions attached to this appointment, which must be strictly adhered to.

Kwara SUBEB 2025 Screening Requirements

  1. All successful applicants must present a medical certificate issued by a government medical officer to confirm their fitness for the role.
  2. Candidates must confirm that they have not been dismissed from the service of any government or quasi-government establishment in the past.
  3. Upon reporting for duty, successful applicants must submit the following Two recent passport photographs and Original and photocopies of credentials, including a birth certificate or declaration of age, for verification and documentation purposes.
  4. Appointees must be ready to serve in their designated local government area for at least five years. During this period, transfer requests will not be entertained. Applicants are required to sign a bond during the documentation exercise to confirm this commitment.
  5. Candidates are mandated to register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and provide evidence of this registration within six months of assuming duty.

Kwara SUBEB Submission Date

Applicants must submit a written acceptance letter within 30 days of receiving the offer. This letter should include an undertaking to abide by the rules and regulations of the appointment. Any falsification of information will result in immediate disqualification.

    Appointees will serve a probationary period of two years. During this time, their conduct and performance will be assessed before confirmation of the appointment. Either the board or the employee may terminate the appointment. This requires a written notice of one or three months, depending on the grade level, or payment of equivalent salaries in lieu of notice.
