The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is currently inviting applications from qualified graduates and post-graduates to join as Direct Short Service Cadets (DSSC). NAF has made it clear that only qualified candidates will be considered for employment as this year’s recruitment is based on merit. Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment 2024

Nigerian Air Force DSSC is open to eligible and interested candidates. The process is also free. All aspects of the recruitment process, including online registration, are free. Candidates should not make any payments.

In line with the federal government’s fight against job racketeering, the NAF has said that there will be no room for unfair recruitment. Only those who meet the requirements and have passed all stages of the exercise will be handed appointment letters.

Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
  • Height requirements for males is a minimum height of 1.66 metres and for females is a minimum height of 1.63 metres.
  • Candidates must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
  • Applicants must be free from any previous criminal conviction.
  • General age requirement is between 20 and 30 years old (Born on or after 27 September 1995). Medical Consultants age limit is between 25 and 40 years (Born on or after 27 September 1985). However, serving military personnel above 30 years are not eligible for this exercise.
  • A minimum of Second Class Upper Division for degree holders or Upper Credit for HND holders. Additional credits in English, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects are required. Computer literacy is an advantage.
  • Possession of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or an Exemption Letter is mandatory.
  • Applicants in regulated fields must have full registration with their respective professional bodies.

    How to Apply for Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment

    Applications must be submitted online at www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. No fees are required. However, applicants should carefully review the required disciplines before completing the application form.

    After successfully completing the application, candidates must print out the following:

    • Local Government Area Attestation Form – To be signed by a recognised official such as a Military/Police Officer (not below the rank of Wing Commander or equivalent), Local Government Chairman/Secretary, Magistrate, or the Principal of the applicant’s secondary school.
    • Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
    • Attestation of Good Character Form.
    • Acknowledgment Form.

    These documents will not be generated for invalid applications. Please note that the Attestation Form must include the signee’s passport photograph and photocopy of an official ID (Driver’s Licence, International Passport, or National ID Card). The signee must also authenticate the applicant’s passport photograph.

    Also, applicants must ensure they submit only one application. Submissions cannot be corrected, and multiple applications will result in automatic disqualification.

    NAF DSSC Deadline

    The application deadline for the online registration opens on 14 October 2024 and closes on 26 November 2024. A Zonal Aptitude Test will be conducted, with details provided on the recruitment portal.
