- Applicants must meet the Nigerian Army’s medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards.
- Must be free of any criminal conviction by a court of law.
- A minimum of four passes, including English Language, in not more than two sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
- Tradesmen/women must possess relevant Trade Test and Guild certificates (details on the recruitment portal).
- Non-tradesmen and women: Between 18 and 22 years old.
- Tradesmen and women: Not older than 26 years as of the same date.
- Minimum height: 1.68 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
- A valid certificate of state of origin.
- No bodily inscriptions, tattoos, piercings, or membership in cults or fraternities.
How to Apply for Nigerian Army Recruitment in 2025
Candidates must visit the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng and complete the online application form. When done with the registration, print and complete the Guarantor Form. Candidates are also to bring duly signed copies of the application form and guarantor form to the designated recruitment centres.
There will also be no special cadre for recruitment. All applicants will go through the same process. The screening exercise will be conducted at each candidate’s state of origin. Candidates are not allowed to bring electronic or recording devices to the screening venues. Such items will be confiscated and not returned.
