The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially announced the commencement of its 2024 recruitment exercise. As Nigeria’s leading agency in road traffic administration and safety management, the FRSC is inviting applications from vibrant, intelligent, and patriotic Nigerians to join its ranks. The aim of this recruitment is to strengthen the Corps’ workforce as it strives to maintain its world-class status. This exercise is free, and registration does not attract any fees.

FRSC Recruitment 2024

The recruitment exercise is open to qualified candidates across three main categories. The First Category is the Officer Cadre. Here, we have the position of Assistant Route Commander (CONPASS 08). Applicants must hold a first degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognised institutions. They must also possess a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate.

We have a Second Category, the Marshal Inspectorate (MI) Cadre. Marshal Inspector I (CONPASS 08) candidates must possess dual qualifications such as Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM), or certifications as Accident & Emergency Nurses, Orthopaedic Nurses, Radiographers, or related specialties from recognised institutions.

However, Marshal Inspector II (CONPASS 07) requires a Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE), RN, or RM qualifications while Marshal Inspector III (CONPASS 06) applicants must have a National Diploma (ND) or relevant certifications such as Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW), Pharmacy Technician, Dental Technician, or Medical Laboratory Technician.

The Third Category is the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre. FRSC is recruiting Road Marshal Assistant II (CONPASS 04), which requires a minimum of five credits in SSCE/GCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), including Mathematics and English. Road Marshal Assistant III (CONPASS 03) applicants must have at least three credits in SSCE/GCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB). Applicants for Artisans and Tradesmen such as mechanics, electricians, tailors, plumbers, and others must possess a minimum of four passes in SSCE/GCE. Valid trade test or professional certifications are required. Finally, those applying as Drivers and Riders must hold a valid National Driver’s Licence and professional certifications. Attempted SSCE/GCE qualifications will be considered.

FRSC Recruitment Requirements

  • Possession of computer literacy is an added advantage for all cadres.
  • Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.
  • Age must be 18 to 30 years old (35 years for medical doctors and articulated vehicle drivers).
  • Must be single.
  • Height must be at least 1.68 metres for males and 1.64 metres for females.
  • Males must have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metres.
  • Applicants must be medically fit and produce a fitness certificate from a government hospital. Pregnant women are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have good character, free from any financial embarrassment, and no criminal record. Tattoos are prohibited.
  • Medical and allied professionals must have current practising licences. Lawyers must have been called to the Bar.

How to Apply for FRSC Recruitment

Interested candidates are to apply online through recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. after successful application, shortlisted candidates will be required to present a printout of their application form during the screening process.

Applications must be submitted online within two weeks of this publication. Also, applicants must use their personal email addresses and phone numbers. Any certificate or qualification not declared at the point of recruitment will not be accepted for career progression. The is to say that if you fail to upload a specific certificate or your professional qualifications during the registration, they will not be recognized later after the recruitment, example, during interviews and even after you secure the job.

Applicants are also warned that submission of false documents will lead to disqualification and prosecution. Double entries will also result in disqualification, i.e., if you apply multiple times, all your applications will become invalid.

The FRSC reiterates that this recruitment exercise attracts no fees. It is 100% FREE.
