Nigeria Civil Defence Recruitment

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced 2024 recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The Board invites applications from qualified Nigerians for various roles in the corps, spanning several categories and ranks. People who are interested, and have the qualifications are invited to submit their applications before the closure of the portal.

NSCDC Recruitment 2024

This is another of the Nigeria Civil Defence recruitment, and the aim is to fill up the vacancies with qualified candidates. The registration is free, and can be completed by anyone online.

The recruitment process includes positions in the General Duty Category, Assistant Cadre, and Drivers/Artisans Category.

Under the General Duty – Category A, we have the Inspector of Corps (IC) – CONPASS 07. For this role, applicants must possess GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent qualifications with at least five (5) passes, including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings. There are also available positions for Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC) – CONPASS 06, and the candidates must hold a National Diploma (ND) from a recognised university or polytechnic in any field.

As for Assistant Cadre – Category B, we Corps Assistant (CAII) – CONPASS 04. For this role, applicants should possess GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent qualifications with at least five (5) passes, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings. We also have Corps Assistant (CAIII) – CONPASS 03. Candidates must hold GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or Trade Test Grade II certificates in specific skills like Auto Mechanics, Auto Electricals, Plumbing, or Carpentry.

The third category of recruitment is for Drivers/Mechanics/Artisans – Category C. We have Corps Assistant (CAI) – CONPASS 04, which applicants should hold Trade Test Grade II in areas such as Motor Mechanics or Auto Electricians. We also have Corps Assistant (CAIII). Here, the candidates are required to have Trade Test Grade III certification in similar fields. A valid National Driver’s Licence is mandatory for all driver applicants.

Nigeria Civil Defence Requirements

To qualify for NSCDC, applicants must meet the following general requirements:

  • Be Nigerian by birth.
  • Possess relevant academic or professional qualifications.
  • Provide a certificate of medical fitness from a recognised government hospital.
  • Be of good character, with no prior criminal convictions.
  • Be between 18 and 30 years of age.
  • Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females, with a chest measurement of at least 0.87m for males.
  • Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

How to Apply for Civil Defence Recruitment

Applications must be submitted online via the recruitment portal cdcfib.career starting 12th December 2024. Applicants should complete the online form and print the Referee Forms for submission during the screening process.

The applications are entirely free of charge, and no candidate should pay money to anyone in the name of securing a spot. Also, multiple applications will lead to disqualification. I.e., if you create more than one account and apply with those, all accounts will be closed and your applications disqualified.

All qualifications must be presented during the recruitment process, as no additional certificates will be accepted post-recruitment.
